I hope you choose to do the same!  When I was thinking about the next chapter in my life it was hard to describe how I have lived my life.  It took me quite a bit of time to come up with a few words that best describe my perspective.

What does “Living Unscripted” mean to me?  I didn’t realize it until recently, but I have lived outside the norms...living unscripted.  When I was growing up what inspired me were my immigrant parents…I could be whatever I wanted to be if I worked hard and stayed focused.

As a business owner for decades in a male dominated sector of financial services, my success was a combination of living unscripted and without the fear of failure.  Embarking on this very different adventure is exciting.  I have learned a lot along the way and feel it is time for me to step outside my comfort zone, focus on my creative side and encourage women and men to challenge their comfort zone, take risk and break free from many societal norms that still exist today.

Living with assumed roles and behaviors is hard for me.  Why is the man given the check for dinner? Why is the man's name first in documents? Why is it Mr. and Mrs. XYZ?  Why when the woman handles the insurance or even getting home repair quotes does the correspondence put the man’s name first?

I have worked very hard having made many sacrifices and expect to be treated as an equal: I have earned it.  Let's work together to improve life for us all.
