Happy Living Unscripted is not just a brand; It's a transformative movement. At it's core, it is dedicated to empower, mentor, coach…help people to step outside their comfort zone and confidently navigate a journey with no fear, a journey that may be outside of outdated societal norms.

Happy Living Unscripted was created by Sima Reid, a lifelong entepreneur who worked against societal norms owning and operating a business in the financial services sector, in an industry that traditionally is run by men. This did not impact her success. Today women and men face a world that is rapidly changing, filled with both unprecendented opportunities and significant challenges. While some things have changed others have not. Societal norms often place immense pressure on people to a path whether in education, career, or personal life that seems to be predetermined. The realities of an unpredictable job market, social media influence, and evolving cultural expecations may create uncertainty, stress and self doubt.

The weight of comparison, the expectation that success will happen quickly, and the fear of stepping outside our comfort zone can hold us back from discovering our true potential.

The colorful bracelets of Happy Living Unscripted are more than just accessories—they are a symbol of stepping outside my comfort zone and embracing new experiences. Each bracelet represents a journey of growth, resilience, and the courage to try something new. Coming from a career in financial services, creating these bracelets was a personal challenge, but one that embodies the very message I hope to share: that real joy and fulfillment come when we push beyond our limits. My goal is to inspire others to take their own steps toward the unknown, whether big or small, and to remind them that life’s best moments happen when we dare to live unscripted.

There are so many people who can inspire us to step beyond our own limitations and create meaningful change.

Sarah Blakely built Spanx from the ground up, transformed the shapewear industry despite having no prior experience in fashion or business.  What about Todd Graves; he is the founder of Raising Cane's. Raising Cane's has over 800 restaurants in the US as well as internationally. Graves, inspired by a business plan he wrote in college (which has been reported to have received a low grade).   It has been reported that Graves worked various jobs to raise funds to start the first restaurant including working in oil field in California and as a commercial fisherman in Alaska.

As our world continues to change gender dynamics is putting pressure on some women and men.

Many woman have worked hard to change workplace dynamics.  In some fields, women are outpacing men in education and job attainment, there is still a lack of overall equality between men and women.

In 2023 the WBC Benchmark Survey Pitchbook reported only 2.1% of the VC funding went to women.  In the Los Angeles Business Journal, 10-7-24 only 8 women are running the largest private companies.  AP reported on 10-16-24 women working fulltime earned 83 cents on the dollar compared to men in 2023.

Even though the PEW Research Center Survey of 4-24, found 81% of Americans believe gains women made in society have not come at the expense of men, the change in societal norms has impacted our way of life.

Traditional gender roles are evolving as some women are prioritizing career advancement.

Some men struggle with the societal shift from traditional male provider roles.  Some believe these challenges and changes are impacting long-term relationships.

I WOULD LIKE TO EMBRACE CHANGE AND HELP PEOPLE NAVIGATE THE NEW WORLD.

Mentorship is a powerful way to help people navigate these challenges, build confidence, embrace new opportunities and step outside their comfort zone.  By providing guidance, encouragement, and real-world insight, mentors can help people develop resilience, adaptability, and the courage to take risks.
